Operational draft prepared for launch review. Payments remain disabled until the final legal and tax review is complete.
1. Before work begins
Mastering files should be supplied as a clean stereo WAV or AIFF at the native sample rate, without clipping or unnecessary limiting. Mixing projects should use consolidated WAV stems from the same start point, normally delivered as a ZIP. Label files clearly, include the current rough mix and place creative direction and reference links in the project brief. DAW sessions and plugin-dependent projects are not standard deliverables.
2. Readiness and turnaround
VARENNE reviews the files before confirming that a project is ready. Turnaround begins when the complete brief and usable files are accepted, not automatically at payment. Estimates are measured in business days and may be revised if the source material or scope differs materially from the order.
3. Creative direction
The goal is to preserve the record’s identity while improving balance, clarity, impact and translation. References communicate direction rather than promise an exact copy. The artist remains responsible for creative choices such as lyrics, performances, arrangement and release approval.
4. Feedback and revisions
Submit clear, consolidated notes in the private workspace against the latest version. Several comments on that version form one revision round. New recordings, a changed arrangement or a materially different creative direction may be treated as new work. VARENNE will obtain approval before charging for work outside the included rounds.
5. Delivery and approval
Standard final delivery is a 24-bit WAV and 320 kbps MP3 unless the order states otherwise. Check artist names, titles, fades, versions and technical requirements before approving. Final approval closes the included project scope; later alterations may require a new order.
6. Files and archive
The production plan is to retain customer source files for approximately 90 days after final delivery or approval and final deliverables for approximately 12 months. You remain responsible for permanent backups. These periods may be extended where needed for an open complaint, legal duty or agreed project hold. VARENNE will give reasonable notice before routine deletion once the automated retention system is active.
7. Rights and confidentiality
Your music remains yours. Files are kept in private project storage and shared only with providers needed to operate the service or where law requires. Portfolio use requires separate permission and is never a condition of service.
